In case y'all didn't know, I'm a really messy person. I've been messy ever since I was a kid and keeping things organized is definitely not my strong suit. My room is always a disaster and my purse is no exception. For a more detailed look into my purse, you can check out my What's In My Purse? video, but for now, I'll just give you the gist of it. FYI, I use a black satchel from Olsenboye that I studded myself back in January.
Random stuff:
-Looking for Alaska by John Green
-The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
-Betsey Johnson sunglasses
-Banana Republic glasses
-Kenneth Cole Reaction Wallet
-Headphones
-iPhone
-Dark Knight Rises movie ticket
-Keys
-Hair tie
-Tea Forte Minteas
-Mini hair brush
There's also a few receipts and random little things in the purse, but you've essentially seen it all. What's in your purse?
I've been pretty bland this month, as far as makeup and beauty goes. I've been incredibly busy the entire month and I really haven't had any time to experiment with makeup or do any bold looks. That being said, I compiled my top favorite beauty products this month (surprisingly there were 10 of them)! From strong brows and bold liner to matte eyeshadow and innocent lipsticks, I've been keeping it pretty casual this July.
Victoria's Secret Summer Seduction Eye Kit- Though I'm not typically the biggest Victoria's Secret Makeup fan, I fell in love with this little palette. The matte colors have been my go-to shadows all month! Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black'- I found this gem in my July Birchbox and I have never been quite as pleased with an eyeliner! I've tried felt tip eyeliner before, but this is definitely my favorite. Color Club Nail Polish in 'Blue-Ming'- This one also came in my July Birchbox and I am so grateful for it! The color is perfect for me and the formula & brush are stellar! ELF Single Eyeshadow in 'Pebble'- This has been sitting around in my collection for awhile and I had previously ignored it, but when I ran out of my brow powder, I gave this a shot and it was perfect. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Fix- I picked this up with some of my Birchbox points and I'm loving my transition from brow gel to brow wax. Also, I have been a wee bit obsessed with Birchbox this month.
MAC Lipstick in 'Creme Cup'- I've been a fan of this lipstick for awhile now, but it's been my go-to color all through July. I'm usually more of a bold lipstick gal, but natural makeup roped me in this month. MAC Lipstick in 'Viva Glam Gaga'- While bolder than 'Creme Cup', it's still a gorgeous light pink (and it was limited edition, I believe) and that has been my M.O. lately. Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Makeup in '250 Pure Beige'- I purchased this on a whim one day when I had run out of my previous foundation. I ended up falling in love with it. I'm planning on doing a Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse vs. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse blog post coming up soon, so keep an eye out for that. I only wish there were a little more product in it! Sigma F25 Tapered Face Brush- I just became a Sigma Affiliate this month (yay!) and I had to celebrate by picking up a couple of brushes. This one has been a staple for contouring and blushing my cheeks! John Freida Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray- Though this definitely didn't keep my hair straight for 3 days like it promised, it totally softened my hair and made it not only easier to straighten, but even easier to brush through! I love how my hair feels after using this.
Check out my video for more information on each product and for my song and TV show favorites!
As many of you probably know, I'm a huge fan of nail polish. One of my best friends came over the other day and we filmed a little video about our collaborative top 10 nail polishes for Summer!
Check out our video to see which nail polishes we chose for the summertime! There's also a few of our many bloopers at the end!
I'm hosting a MAC giveaway on my YouTube channel! I'm a huge fan of MAC lipsticks so I decided to give away two of my favorite Spring/Summer lipsticks!
I decided to make a video showing you guys some of my favorite easy-to-wear pieces for Spring. I've been wearing most of the accessories and clothing I 'm showing you a ton. From bright colors to chiffon, I'll all about the trends this Spring. But, of course, I've been wearing my fair share of head-to-toe black this Spring, as well!
I went a little MAC crazy over Spring Break! I stopped by the CCO in Williamsburg and by the MAC counter at the Macy's in Virginia Beach. I also picked up a beautiful brush at Ulta from Real Techniques (Samantha Chapman's brand). Spoiler: I found some YSL products for cheap at the DF&CCO which was probably the highlight of my trip!
I was out of town the other day and I did some light shopping. I stopped by Lush, H&M, Forever 21, MAC, & Francesca's! Want a sneak peak?
I had never been to LUSH before, so I was a bit overwhelmed by everything. I picked up the Bubblegum Lip Scrub (because EVERYONE raves about it), the Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub (because icallitambrosia on youtube/87daysbefore on tumblr raves about it), a small chunk of the Rock Star Soap (because it smelled absolutely delicious) and the Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb (because it was so darn cute)! I also picked up the Cupcake facial ask, but it's currently cooling in my fridge.
If you're interested, you can see what I picked up everywhere else in my haul video! Spoiler: I managed to get my hands on something from the Shop MAC collection WAY after it sold out pretty much everywhere!
I picked up some gorgeous new nail polishes recently and hauled them all on my beauty channel.
This time I went for some Orly, China Glaze, and Essie. I'm thinking next time I'll pick up a few OPIs, a Butter London or two, and maybe a couole Deborah Lippmans!
Have you all purchased any new polishes lately? Any polishes you think I should check out? (p.s. I'm a sucker for anything pastel!)
The Seven Deadly Beauty Sins TAG has been really circulating around YouTube for a few weeks now and (surprise, surprise) I decided to tag myself. That's allowed... right?
Okay so the point of these tag videos is to be tagged by someone else, but I couldn't help myself! The tag was rather unique- well, as unique as a beauty tag on youtube can be and the questions were fun to answer.
GREED - What is your most inexpensive beauty product? What is your most expensive?
WRATH - What beauty products do you have a a love/hate relationship with? What has been hardest to find?
GLUTTONY - What are your most delicious beauty products?
SLOTH - What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?
PRIDE - What beauty product gives you more confidence?
LUST - What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
ENVY - What item would you most like to receive as a gift?
Have any of you seen this tag or done it yourself? Send it my way if you have!
