Nail Polish Haul!

I picked up some gorgeous new nail polishes recently and hauled them all on my beauty channel.
This time I went for some Orly, China Glaze, and Essie. I'm thinking next time I'll pick up a few OPIs, a Butter London or two, and maybe a couole Deborah Lippmans!

Have you all purchased any new polishes lately? Any polishes you think I should check out? (p.s. I'm a sucker for anything pastel!)

Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencil Stash

First of all, I am a total junkie when it comes to makeup sets. I've been lusting after this Urban Decay set for awhile now and when the website bumped the price down to $12 (originally $34), I figured I had to order it.

From Left to Right: Clash, Delinquent, Sin, Juju, Rehab

First off, the color selection is... interesting. I like the combination of colors and neutrals, but I think better colors could have been chosen. For example, the color Clash is absolutely breathtaking and as vibrant as they come, but it's not very wearable for most of us. A color like that is one that I would prefer as an eyeliner, not an all-over shadow.

Though I'm not typically a fan of jumbo pencils, I found these to be pleasant. Unlike the NYX Jumbo Pencils (which I enjoy, but I find can be a bit tough), these pencils are buttery smooth. Like their 24/7 Eyeliner counterparts, they're highly-pigmented and swatch like a dream.

From the top to the bottom: Rehab, Juju, Sin, Delinquent, Clash

As you can see, none of the neutrals are the same, but I would have preferred a color instead of one of the neutrals, but that's just me. Perhaps a set of 6 (3 neutrals, 3 colors) would have been better. Aside from my color nitpicking, all of these shadows are GORGEOUS. They're the creamiest shadow pencils I've ever tried and for $12, they're absolutely worth it!

Have any of you tried out these pencils? If so, are you planning on it? What's your favorite shade from the set? (My personal favorite is Delinquent!)

WARPAINT Perfume!

A couple months ago in my local Hot Topic I was browsing around, trying to find a gift for my friend. There was a huge display of WARPAINT perfumes on sale for 1/2 off and being a sucker for deals, I moseyed over to the perfumes to take a whiff and was pleasantly surprised!

I'd never heard of the brand, though after further investigation I found out they were a cosmetics company sold exclusively at Hot Topic, known for super saturated makeup. I picked up two of the scents they had and I fell totally in love. They're an amazing value and the scents are rather unique.

WARPAINT BEAUTY Perfume in 'Indie'

I can tell you now that I am horrible at describing scents, so I'll leave you the company's description: For the unrestrained, bold and audacious. A mouth-watering assortment of sweet creams and hypnotic vanilla.
Top notes: Vanilla Cream Soda & Whipped Cream
Middle notes: Creme Fraiche & Sweet Butter
Bottom Notes: Light Puff Pastry & Vanilla Bean

Every drop of 'Indie' is sweet and warm, dripping with a yummy, pastry scent. Look at those scent notes! The combination is mouth-watering. I've never smelled anything quite like it. I'm a huge fan of sweet scents and warm scents, so this perfume strikes the absolute perfect balance for me!

WARPAINT BEAUTY Perfume in 'Untouchable'

For the self-empowered, raw and authentic. A flirtatious pairing of juicy fruit and feminine florals with the lingering warmth of creme brulee and amber.
Top notes: Black Currant & Bergamot
Middle notes: Plum Blossom, Peony, & Jasmine Petals
Bottom notes: Creme Brulee Accord, Amber, & Vanilla Bean

'Untouchable' is quite different from 'Indie', though still warm. Though it's top notes are fruity and floral, it's bottom notes are warm, making it, again a unique scent. While 'Indie' is my favorite, 'Untouchable' is an amazing option and would appeal to a more vast audience of people, because it offers a little bit of everything scent-wise. Whoever makes the scent combinations for this company is doing a stunning job at making something beautiful and original.

Though the full size bottles (I have the small bottles, not full size) are usually $20 (which is still an amazing price), they are both on sale for $7.98 a piece on Hot Topic Right now. Click here for 'Indie' and click here for 'Untouchable'.

Have any of you all used WARPAINT products before?

Wet 'n Wild 'Silent Treatment' Color Icon Trio

In the past few years, Wet 'n Wild has totally revamped their products and they have become one of my personal favorite drugstore brands. Not to mention their products are still far cheaper than many of their competitors and their quality, especially for the price, is amazing. What more could you ask for?

Wet 'n Wild's Color Icon line has made a huge splash in the beauty community, especially their Color Icon Trios! For only $3, you can snag a trio of highly-pigmented shadows designed to complement one another. The one pictured above is in the shade 'Silent Treatment' and is the perfect trio for creating a classic smokey eye.

Do you all see that pigmentation? It's fabulous, especially for something so inexpensive! The color on the left (browbone) is a slightly shimmery, cream-colored shadow, the middle color (crease) is a black with very sparse, silver glitter, and the color on the right (eyelid) is your classic, high-pigment silver.

 'Silent Treatment'- Eyelid, Crease, Browbone

I only have two little issues with these products. First, it would be incredibly helpful if each individual eye shadow has a shade name, so they'd be easier to address in blog posts and youtube videos, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual products and will not be an issue for the average, non-blogging user. Second, I have found that the browbone shades (like a lot of lighter-colored shadows) can appear a little chalky, though nothing so bad that it decreases the quality of the Trio as a whole. I've found that in most of these Trios that I've tried, the browbone is the least smooth (though still nice), the crease color is a little smoother than the browbone shade, and the crease color is incredibly smooth and buttery (similar, though not exactly the same as Urban Decay).

Have any of you tried these trios? If so, which Trios do you think I should pick up and which should I avoid? Also, I have about 5 more of these Trios... would you all like to see swatches of them, as well?

Maybelline Color Tattoos!

Within a couple weeks of these new cream shadows hitting the market, beauty gurus were going crazy over them. While many had a hard time finding these shadows (especially the shade Tough as Taupe), I luckily saw these at my CVS the day they were released back in December and picked two of them up.

Though I'm quite skeptical when it comes to cream eyeshadows (Stila Smudge Pots are the ONLY cream shadows I've ever really loved), I found myself falling in love with these shadows. They have been compared numerous times to the MAC Paint Pots (which I've yet to try) and they're much more affordable! MAC Paint Pots retail for $17.50, while these Maybelline Color Tattoos will cost you around $5.59 to $7 (depending on where you buy them). And get this, they don't crease! (Seriously.)

I purchased Tough as Taupe, which is a matte (!) taupe (think of a rather purple and gray taupe, not much brown in this one) and Bold Gold which is your standard gold.

Bold Gold on left, Tough as Taupe on right

These shadows are amazing quality and for the price, you really can't beat it. I will say I prefer the texture of Tough as Taupe over Bold Gold. While both are outstanding, Tough as Taupe seems a little more opaque and a little more smooth than Bold Gold, which, as you can kind of pick up from the photograph, is not quite as smooth. (But don't worry, Bold Gold is still 100% worth the cash!) Just a quick final note, these are marketed to last for 24 hours. I've only used them for about 13 hours at a time, so I can't say if they last the full 24, but I feel it is very rare that we need to wear eye shadow for 24 hours straight anyway!

What do you all think? Have any of you tried these out yet or are you not into the hype surrounding them?

Seven Deadly Beauty Sins!

The Seven Deadly Beauty Sins TAG has been really circulating around YouTube for a few weeks now and (surprise, surprise) I decided to tag myself. That's allowed... right?

Okay so the point of these tag videos is to be tagged by someone else, but I couldn't help myself! The tag was rather unique- well, as unique as a beauty tag on youtube can be and the questions were fun to answer.

GREED - What is your most inexpensive beauty product? What is your most expensive?
WRATH - What beauty products do you have a a love/hate relationship with? What has been hardest to find?
GLUTTONY - What are your most delicious beauty products?
SLOTH - What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?
PRIDE - What beauty product gives you more confidence?
LUST - What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
ENVY - What item would you most like to receive as a gift?

Have any of you seen this tag or done it yourself? Send it my way if you have!
